Prepped (orderprepped.com) sells meal prep software with no setup fees and no monthly minimums: you pay per order, 3.5 percent plus $0.50 under 100 orders a month and 1.5 percent plus $0.30 from 100 (its homepage, September 2026). That fits a kitchen testing demand with little cash at risk. Kitchens look for an OrderPrepped alternative when production needs planning, not just reports. Flambia is that alternative: a menu optimiser under macro bounds and 26 production reports, set up with you by an operator who ran three brands on it.
Prepped runs at orderprepped.com, so you will see both names here. Every Prepped fact below comes from its homepage as read on September 23, 2026. Every Flambia claim is checked against the running software.
What Prepped does well
- Zero fixed cost to start. “No setup fees. No monthly minimums. Pay only per order as you grow.” Starter costs 3.5 percent plus $0.50 per order under 100 orders a month; Growth costs 1.5 percent plus $0.30 per order from 100; Enterprise is priced on request, and Stripe card fees apply on top. For an operator with forty orders a week and a thin bank balance, that is a low-risk door.
- Subscriptions and self-service. Its homepage lists automated recurring billing through Stripe, a customer portal where customers manage subscriptions, orders and saved cards, and email and SMS campaigns.
- Reports and delivery in the box. It lists a production list, shopping list, shipping labels and customer reports, inventory tracking with low-stock alerts, integrated delivery routing or third-party delivery services, and outsourced delivery it says covers 91 percent of US zip codes.
When the orders get steady
The menu goes stale. Customers leave when meals repeat. Prepped’s homepage describes menu and recipe management; it does not describe a tool that composes each customer’s menu for them.
Food cost you see after the fact. A cost report tells you what your food cost last week. It does not stop next week’s menu from drifting expensive.
Delivery morning. Prepped offers routing and outsourced delivery. Flambia takes a different route: a per-address list emailed to your own couriers, with no stop sequencing. Ask them to show you the delivery paperwork for a real order day, not a slide; ask us the same.
What changes with Flambia
Flambia System ran my own three brands, including Cebulka in its $203,956 month. For a kitchen whose orders have settled, four parts do the planning work:
- An optimiser composes the rotating menu under hard macro bounds, a price cap and a no-repeat-within-7-days rule; customer ratings feed dish selection, balanced against food cost by a weight you set.
- Two-layer food cost: realised food cost shown against a target you set (24 percent unless you change it), while the optimiser holds each menu under your price cap as it is composed.
- Production runs as gated steps, from preparation and cooking to packing, sorting and transport, and the kitchen packs on a tablet station that scans each bag’s barcode.
- One kitchen can produce for several brands at once, from a shared dish library.
The storefront, subscriptions and courier report are on the Flambia System page. How you buy is different too. The software has no self-serve plan. You start with a fit call: 30 minutes on your kitchen, your capacity and your numbers. Setting the system up with you is a separate, paid step, quoted after we see your kitchen. The model has so far been proven only in Poland, and the software is Polish-first, so a first launch in a new country means real development work on translation, payments and tax, quoted with you before we start.

Who should stay on Prepped
Stay if you want to pay per order, with no setup fee or monthly minimum; for a kitchen proving demand with its first few dozen customers, that is exactly right. Stay if you want routing or outsourced delivery from the same vendor. And stay if you want to sign up alone tonight without talking to anyone. When your bags are steady and you want someone who ran the model guiding your setup, we will set it up together.
Frequently asked questions
Is Flambia a good OrderPrepped alternative?
For a kitchen that wants its menu composed and its food cost tracked against a target, yes. The Prepped pay-per-order model has no setup fee or monthly minimum, and it bundles routing and outsourced delivery. Flambia System is set up with you and carries the production floor: a menu optimiser, 26 report types, two-layer food cost, scanner-checked bags and a courier report. Pick by what your production floor needs, not by feature count.
How does Prepped’s pricing work?
Prepped publishes two rates on its homepage: 3.5 percent plus $0.50 per order under 100 orders a month, and 1.5 percent plus $0.30 per order from 100 orders a month. There are no setup fees or monthly minimums, Enterprise pricing is custom, and Stripe card fees apply separately (read September 23, 2026). Flambia’s cost is set on a fit call, after we see your kitchen.
Can I move from Prepped to Flambia?
Ask Prepped in writing how you export your customer list, subscriptions and order history; its homepage does not describe export terms. On our side, your menu is built during the paid setup. Importing customers or subscriptions is not on our verified feature list, so we look at your export together before quoting and promise only what we have checked.
