Foodzilla is meal-planning software for dietitians, nutritionists, health coaches and trainers: you build a personalised plan, and your client follows it in an app and cooks at home. It fits a practice that sells advice. Once your kitchen cooks the food, takes prepaid orders and sends bags out every morning, you need a production system. Flambia System is the Foodzilla alternative for that side: prepaid ordering, a menu optimiser and 26 production reports, set up with you by an operator who ran three brands on it.
People reach this page from two directions. Some run a nutrition practice on Foodzilla, and their clients keep asking, “can you just cook it for me?” Others run a kitchen, searched for meal-planning software and found Foodzilla. This page answers both. Foodzilla facts below come from its Capterra listing, read on September 23, 2026; check foodzilla.com for current prices. Every Flambia claim is checked against the running software.
What Foodzilla does well
- Personalised plans, fast. Its listing promises to “create highly-personalized nutrition plans for clients in minutes, not hours”, with recipe management and nutrient analysis behind each plan.
- A practice in one login. The same listing covers a client app for plans and progress, appointment scheduling, client messaging, and billing and invoicing. For a dietitian, that is the whole business.
- A low door. The listing shows plans from $37 a month and a 10-day free trial, so a solo practitioner can start alone this week without a sales call.
When your clients ask you to cook
The moment food leaves your kitchen instead of a PDF leaving your inbox, four jobs appear, and none of them is a planning job.
Orders and money. Customers want to pay up front for a week of meals, pause when they travel and skip a day without calling you. That is an order system’s job. Foodzilla’s listing describes billing and invoicing for your practice, not a meal-order checkout.
The production floor. Forty customers on five meals a day is two hundred meals out of the door every morning. Someone has to turn that into a shopping list, a cooking sheet, a packing sheet and labels before the crew arrives.
Food cost. One operator we spoke to was running on a three percent margin. A planning tool never sees a supplier invoice, so it cannot show that number.
A menu that keeps changing. Customers leave when the menu repeats. Forty people, each on their own macros, on a menu with no dish repeated within a week, is a lot of math to redo by hand every week.
What Flambia adds for a kitchen
I built Flambia System to run my own three food brands from one kitchen, which sent out about 2,000 prepaid daily meal-sets a day, all delivered by morning. For a practice moving into food, four parts matter most:
- A branded storefront on your own domain with calorie-personalised ordering, plus subscriptions with a prepaid balance, self-serve pause, skip and cancel, and recurring card billing.
- An optimiser composes each customer’s rotating menu under hard macro (protein, fat, carbohydrate) bounds, a price cap and a no-repeat-within-7-days rule.
- A production suite with 26 report types, from shopping lists to cooking, sorting, packing, bags, labels and transport, plus a 7-day demand forecast.
- Labels print with macros, allergens and a scannable code, and a rack-to-order scanner checks each bag.
The courier report, food cost and multi-brand production are on the Flambia System page. What Flambia is not: a self-serve trial. It goes into a kitchen that already cooks, so the first step is to book a 30-minute fit call about that kitchen and your numbers. Setting the software up with you is a separate, paid step. The model has so far been proven only in Poland; elsewhere the Polish-first software needs real development work on language, payments and tax before your first order, quoted with you before we start.
Foodzilla vs Flambia System, side by side
Foodzilla cells reflect its Capterra listing; Flambia cells reflect only what the software verifiably does.

|---|---|---|

| How you start | Sign up alone on the trial. | A 30-minute fit call first; setting the system up together is a separate, paid step. |
Who should stay on Foodzilla
If you sell plans and coaching and your clients cook, stay. Foodzilla was built for you and Flambia was not; a kitchen system would be an expensive way to send a PDF. Stay too if you only need recipe analysis and nutrient reports for a menu someone else produces, or if you want to start alone this week on a trial. A kitchen can keep its dietitian on a planning tool and run production on Flambia; the two jobs do not compete.
Frequently asked questions
Is Flambia a good Foodzilla alternative?
Only if you cook. Foodzilla plans meals a client prepares; Flambia System runs a kitchen that prepares them: prepaid orders, a menu optimiser, 26 production reports and labels. If your practice is moving from advice to food, Flambia is the next tool. If it is not, Foodzilla remains the right one.
Can I keep my dietitian and still use Flambia?
Yes. Your dietitian sets the macro bounds and the dish library; the optimiser composes each customer’s rotating menu inside those bounds with a no-repeat-within-7-days rule. Allergen-group exclusions are applied before the menu is composed and are never relaxed, so a customer’s menu is built only from dishes they can eat.
How much does Foodzilla cost?
Its Capterra listing shows plans from $37 a month and a 10-day free trial (read September 23, 2026); check foodzilla.com for current prices. Flambia’s cost is set on a fit call, after we see your kitchen.
Does Flambia have a free trial like Foodzilla?
No, on purpose. The hard part of a prepaid meal line is getting the first production day out of the door on time, not learning a dashboard. That is why we set Flambia up with you, as a paid step, instead of handing you a trial. The quickest way to check fit is to see if your kitchen fits.
